Amazon Listing Reinstatement

What We Offer

Your Listing Is Down. Let's Find Out What Amazon Actually Wants.

Suppressed, deactivated, blocked or removed — every one of those has a different cause and a different evidence requirement. We identify the real reason first, then build the appeal around what that specific team needs to see. Including cases Amazon has already rejected.

Why Was Your Listing Taken Down?

Amazon’s notification usually names a policy, not the actual trigger. Answering the notification instead of the trigger is the most common reason a first appeal is rejected. These are the cases we handle.

Counterfeit / Inauthentic complaint

YOU ARE HERE IF

Your ASIN was deactivated after a complaint that the item is not genuine, or Amazon has asked you to prove authenticity.

WHAT AMAZON ACTUALLY WANTS

A verifiable supply chain — invoices from the actual manufacturer or authorised distributor, matching quantities, matching dates, on documents Amazon can verify by calling the supplier.

WHAT WE DO

We audit your documentation against what Amazon accepts before submitting anything, close the gaps, and build the appeal around proof of sourcing rather than an explanation of why the complaint is unfair.

01
Intellectual property complaint — trademark

YOU ARE HERE IF

A rights owner filed a trademark complaint, or you used a brand name or keyword you are not authorised to use.

WHAT AMAZON ACTUALLY WANTS

Either a retraction from the complainant, or evidence that the use was authorised or that no infringement occurred.

WHAT WE DO

We assess whether the complaint is valid. If it is, the fastest route is usually a retraction — we handle that approach. If it is not, we build the non-infringement case with the evidence Amazon requires.

02
Intellectual property complaint — copyright

YOU ARE HERE IF

A complaint says your images, product copy or A+ content belongs to somebody else.

WHAT AMAZON ACTUALLY WANTS

Proof that you own or are licensed to use the content — or its removal and replacement.

WHAT WE DO

We identify the disputed asset, establish ownership or replace it cleanly, and file the appeal with the documentation attached.

03
Intellectual property complaint — patent or design right

YOU ARE HERE IF

A complaint claims your product infringes a utility patent, design patent or registered design.

WHAT AMAZON ACTUALLY WANTS

A technical non-infringement argument, or a retraction. This is the most document-heavy case type on this page.

WHAT WE DO

We analyse the actual claim scope against your product feature by feature and build a formal non-infringement submission. We have prepared these for registered designs and European and US patents.

04
Restricted product / category approval

YOU ARE HERE IF

Your listing was blocked as a restricted product, or you have been asked for approval documentation you do not have.

WHAT AMAZON ACTUALLY WANTS

Category-specific documentation — certificates, compliance documents, test reports or a category approval application.

WHAT WE DO

We identify exactly which document set your product type requires, tell you what to obtain, and submit the approval or appeal.

05
Prohibited claims — medical, drug or disease claims

YOU ARE HERE IF

Your listing was pulled for claims about treating, preventing or curing a condition — including claims made in images or A+ content.

WHAT AMAZON ACTUALLY WANTS

The offending claims removed everywhere they appear, and a demonstration that you understand which language is not permitted.

WHAT WE DO

We find every instance of the claim across title, bullets, description, backend, images and A+ content — images are the ones sellers miss — rewrite them into compliant language that still sells, and submit the appeal with the corrected listing already live.

06
Pesticide, safety or regulatory claims

YOU ARE HERE IF

Your listing was flagged under pesticide, chemical or safety policy — often for words like "antibacterial", "kills germs", "eco-friendly" or "non-toxic".

WHAT AMAZON ACTUALLY WANTS

The claim removed, plus registration or exemption documentation where applicable.

WHAT WE DO

We identify which specific words triggered it, correct the listing and submit the documentation Amazon accepts for that policy.

Why Did My Appeal Get Rejected?

Almost always because it answered the wrong question. Amazon’s notification names a policy; the actual trigger is usually something more specific underneath it. An appeal that addresses the notification rather than the trigger reads as non-responsive and gets closed.

THE FIVE MOST COMMON REASONS AN APPEAL FAILS

  • It addressed the stated policy instead of the actual trigger
  • It argued that Amazon was wrong instead of showing what was fixed
  • The evidence did not meet the format that team requires — right document, wrong form
  • The listing was still non-compliant at the moment the appeal was submitted
  • It went to Seller Support when the case belonged with Brand Registry, Catalog Integrity or the IP team

How We Handle a Reinstatement ?

  1. Diagnose the real trigger — we read the notification, the performance notifications, the listing itself and any prior case history before forming a view.
  2. Fix the listing first — an appeal filed while the listing is still non-compliant is a wasted attempt.
  3. Assemble the evidence in the format that specific team accepts.
  4. Write the plan of action — root cause, corrective action, preventive action. Specific and short, not a letter of apology.
  5. Submit through the correct channel — Seller Support, Brand Registry, Catalog Integrity, or the IP team.
  6. Follow through — respond to every information request quickly, and escalate when the case stalls.
  7. Prevent the repeat — we tell you what else in your catalogue is carrying the same risk.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU ?

  • The ASIN and the exact notification Amazon sent
  • Any appeals already submitted and the rejections you received
  • Supplier invoices, if the case is authenticity or counterfeit related
  • Trademark, Brand Registry and any certification or compliance documents
  • Seller Central user permissions: Account Health, Cases, Inventory Manager, Flat Files (never your login)

How Long Does Reinstatement Take?

It depends entirely on why the listing went down. A suppressed listing missing attributes can be back the same day. An IP complaint or a counterfeit case can take weeks. Amazon controls the decision — what we control is that the case is right the first time.

  • Suppressed for missing attributes — often same day to a few days
  • Image policy — days
  • Claim violations (medical, pesticide, safety) — days to two weeks once the listing is corrected
  • Restricted product / category approval — depends on how fast you can obtain the documentation
  • IP complaints — one to four weeks, faster when a retraction is achievable
  • Counterfeit / inauthentic — the slowest, driven by supply-chain documentation

FAQ's

Frequently Asked Questions

No, and be careful with anyone who does — Amazon makes the decision, not the agency. What we can tell you before you spend anything is whether we believe the case is winnable and what it will take.

No. Most of the cases we take on have already been rejected at least once. A rejection is information: it usually tells us the case went through the wrong channel or the evidence did not match what that team needed.

Suppressed usually means the listing is live but not appearing in search, most often because required attributes are missing — the quickest thing on this page to fix. Deactivated means Amazon has taken the offer down over a policy or complaint. Blocked means you cannot recreate or edit it. They are three different problems with three different routes.

Yes. A plan of action is root cause, corrective action and preventive action — specific, evidenced and short. Long apologetic appeals get closed.

Yes, and honestly it is often the more straightforward case. If the claim is valid, the route is to fix it properly and evidence the fix, rather than to argue. We will tell you which situation you are actually in.

Not automatically. If one listing was pulled for a claim, the same phrase is usually sitting on other ASINs. We flag the rest of the catalogue as part of the case — that is normally the more valuable half of the work.

Yes. We work across the US, UK and Germany. Each marketplace handles appeals independently.

Reinstated Is Not Protected

Getting your listing back online solves today’s immediate problem. But if the underlying compliance risks, listing issues, and account health concerns aren’t managed proactively, you may find yourself dealing with another takedown later.

The Growth Plan Is How Supplement Brands Stop Firefighting.

The UPLIXA Growth Plan brings listing compliance, compliance management, account health monitoring, and reinstatement support into one proactive system.

Instead of waiting for listings to go down and reacting to each new issue, we help supplement brands identify risks earlier and manage their Amazon account with long-term growth and protection in mind.

What Changes With The Growth Plan

Reactive Approach
Listing goes down → Find the problem → Submit an appeal → Wait for reinstatement

Proactive Approach
Monitor risks → Improve compliance → Protect account health → Support sustainable growth
